Arise Cabinets is seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker and Installer to join our Houston-based team. This full-time position involves both shop fabrication and on-site installation of custom cabinetry, commercial laminate products, and high-end residential millwork. As a vital team member, you will work in small groups to deliver precise, design-forward cabinetry solutions while maintaining craftsmanship, accountability, and excellent communication. Our ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with technical drawings and a range of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble custom cabinets and millwork in the shop as needed
• Perform on-site installation of cabinets, doors, drawer fronts, and trim elements including crown molding and toe kicks
• Accurately read and interpret installation drawings and blueprints
• Scribe fillers to fit irregular surfaces cleanly and professionally
• Handle cabinetry carefully during transport to prevent damage
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces and manage tools effectively
• Collaborate with small teams to improve installation workflow and problem-solve
• Troubleshoot issues on-site to keep projects on schedule

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in cabinet fabrication and installation
• Proficiency using power tools and shop equipment; must supply personal hand tools for installations
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and plans
• Strong trim carpentry skills, including scribing and molding installation
• Skilled in staining and finishing cabinet doors
• Exceptional measurement accuracy (down to 1/16")
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Physical capability to lift and maneuver heavy cabinetry components
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and effective communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of cabinet making and installation experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
